Logo Examples

Logo Color Schemes

Analogous

Echoing Green uses the analogous colors of green, blue, and blue-green. I think the company probably chose these colors because green is a very peaceful color and blue is a professional color, which are 2 characteristics that suit their company.
BP uses the analogous colors of yellow, green, and yellow-green. I think the company probably chose these colors because they wanted people to think that bp was healthy to the environment, and that they care about nature, even though they're an oil company.

Complementary

Fanta uses the complementary colors of orange and blue. I think the company probably chose these colors because orange is a fun color, and they want people to think of Fanta as a fun drink.

Mountain Dew uses the complementary colors of red and green. I think the company probably chose these colors because red is a very energetic color and red also makes you feel hungry, because of how often red is used in the food industry.

Monochromatic

Holiday Inn uses many different shades/tints of green. I think the company chose to make their logo green because green is often a relaxing, peaceful, color, because so many things in nature are green, and nature is relaxing to look at.

A&W Root Beer uses many different shades of orange/brown. The company probably used these colors because orange is seen as a fun color and brown is seen as comforting and organic. Both of those are good for a company that makes drinks.

Warm

Red Bull uses the warm colors, red and yellow. They probably chose these colors because red and yellow are very energetic color, and Red Bull is an energy drink. Yellow is also associated with happiness.

Dunkin' Donuts uses the warm colors, orange and red-violet. Once again, I think they used orange in the logo because orange is a fun color, and they want you to have fun eating their food. They probably used red-violet because red makes you hungry, and violet is a symbol of luxury and elegance.

Cool

Intel uses the cool color, blue. The company most likely used blue because blue can be thought of as professional and trustworthy.

Sprite mostly uses the cool colors, blue and green. I think Sprite used blue and green because those 2 are what the Earth mostly consists of. A lot of nature is green, but the sky and water are blue. Green and blue makes you think of being outside, along with yellow. (Which there's a little bit of in the logo.) When you're outside, you might get exhausted and you'll want a refreshing drink.

Triad

Superman's logo uses the primary colors, red, yellow, and blue. They probably use blue to show that superman is trustworthy. Yellow and red show happiness, because people are happy to have superman protect them. Superman obviously isn't real, but his logo is.
